Its Ability

Energy Converter

Once during your turn (before your attack), you may choose 1 Basic Energy card attached to 1 of your Pokémon and choose an Energy type. Treat that Energy card as that type until the end is your turn. This power can't be used if Porygon2 is Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed. If Porygon2 becomes Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed, the Energy card goes back to its original type.

Its attacks

Delta Beam

20

Flip a coin. If heads, choose whether the Defending Pokémon becomes Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed.

What to make of it

Have a look at what it does well, then at what will get in your way. After that you'll know whether it belongs in your deck.

  1. A strength

Retreat cost 1. One Energy to discard and it is back on the Bench, which matters a lot on the turn you need to swap attackers.

  2. A strength

It has an Ability, Energy Converter. An Ability costs you no attack, so you can use it and still swing the same turn.

  3. Keep in mind

None of the 5,710 tournament lists we have read runs it. That does not make it a bad card — it means we have not seen it on a table yet.

  4. Keep in mind

Weakness Fighting ×2. Against a Fighting Pokémon, apply that to the damage it takes — it climbs fast. Of the 5,710 tournament lists we have read, 1,287 run at least one Pokémon of that type.

Who plays it

None of the tournament lists we have read mentions this card. That happens with a card that has just come out, or one players have not tried yet.

Two cards of the same Pokémon can be worth wildly different amounts — it depends on the set, the rarity and the artwork. We put all 17 Porygon2 cards on one page, priciest first.
