What rotation takes out of your deck

Once a year the game clears out the old cards. Everything carrying the oldest letter printed in the bottom left corner drops out of Standard on the same day, and you can't put it on the table at a tournament any more. A deck can lose twenty cards in one go, and plenty of players find that out the night before an event.
