Terms of use

1. What this site is

poko.cards is run by KAWLET, a company based in Lille, France. You will find a catalogue of Pokémon cards, what we pay for them, guides, and a reader that replays your games.

Simply looking around means you accept these rules. Buying or selling also means accepting the terms written for that, and they are linked at the bottom of every page.

2. Your account

Most of the site reads without an account. You open one to keep your games, follow a sale, or find an order again.

What you put in your account has to be accurate, your address above all: that is where parcels and labels go. You are responsible for what happens from your account, so keep your access to yourself.

You can close your account whenever you like, from your settings. We can close yours if it is used for something these rules forbid, and we tell you why.

3. What the numbers on the site mean

The prices you read on a listing are what we pay for a card, taken from the market and recalculated often. A displayed figure is a reading, at the date it was taken.

A reading is not a firm offer. What binds us is the price you lock in the sale flow, for the time announced at that moment.

Our guides, set equivalences and calendars are written with care, and they can be wrong. Check before basing an expensive purchase on them, and write to us when you spot a mistake.

4. The game reader

You can paste us a game log and replay it turn by turn. The work happens in your browser, and the Privacy page says what reaches us and what never leaves.

Some cards and some actions cannot be rebuilt from a log. The reader flags that where it happens instead of pretending otherwise.

5. What is ours, and what is not

Our texts, our guides, our price readings and the way this site is built belong to us. You may read them, quote them and share them by saying where they come from.

The cards, their artwork, their names and the Pokémon universe belong to The Pokémon Company and its rights holders. We are not affiliated with them in any way, and nothing here is endorsed or sponsored by them.

What you send us — a game log, a deck list, a piece of feedback — stays yours. You only let us read it and give you something back from it.

6. What you may not do with it

Scrape the catalogue, resell our price readings, or run a program that hammers the site. A curious reader is welcome, a robot draining the database is not.

Work around our protections, hunt for holes, or pass yourself off as someone else.

Use the site to offer cards that are not genuine. If you try to sell us one, the buyback terms say what happens.

7. When the site does not answer

We run this site as well as we can, without promising it will be there around the clock. An update, an outage at a supplier, an incident: it happens.

An interruption does not undo an order already placed or a price already locked. What is committed stays committed.

8. Links to other shops

On some pages we show you where to buy elsewhere. When a link earns us something, it says so right next to it, and your price does not move.

What happens once you have left poko is out of our hands: the other shop's contract applies.

9. Your data

The Privacy page says it all: what we keep, for how long, and how you have it erased.

It is linked at the bottom of every page, and it covers what you read as much as what you sell us.

10. Buying and selling

These rules cover reading the site. Two other texts cover the money: the sale terms when you buy a card from us, the buyback terms when you send us one.

You accept those separately, at the moment you act, and they take precedence over these for anything touching the transaction.

11. If these rules change, and how to reach us

We may revise them, and the update date is at the top of this page. Carrying on using the site after a change means you accept it.

These terms are governed by French law. If something goes wrong, write to us first: most things are settled in one email. You can then bring the matter to a consumer mediator free of charge.
