pokoAGENT

An agent that plays, then tests its decisions.

The goal is to let you play against pokoAGENT. Getting there means completing games, facing different strategies and adapting its deck when the format changes.

    Understand the field

    Read tournament lists, their key cards and the impact of rotation. You can explore decks and check your own list today.

    Starting point: observed lists and published cards.

  2. 02Under evaluation

    Compare deck strength

    Play full games, change opponents and alternate who goes first. A ranking must hold on new draws and be checked against tournament results.

    Publication requirement: repeated results that hold up to independent checks.

  3. 03Agent objective

    Build the next deck

    Try replacements after rotation, preserve the game plan and explain the changes retained. Each version must be tested again before receiving a strength recommendation.

    Target output: 60 cards, a game plan and the comparisons supporting the choices.

  4. 04Final goal

    Play against you

    Choose your deck and face pokoAGENT in a full game. The agent must make decisions using the same visible information as a player.

    Head-to-head play will open when full games and their rules have been validated.

Our response to the PTCG AI Battle Challenge

Six challenges. One game.

The competition asks the questions pokoAGENT needs to answer. We pursue this work outside the competition, with a practical goal for you: knowing what to play and why.

  1. Understand the cards

    Read card effects and interactions to build a list whose cards work together.

  2. Choose a strategy

    Connect key cards to a game plan and examine different ways to carry it out.

  3. Play with hidden information

    Make decisions from what has been revealed, without knowing the opponent’s hand or next draws.

  4. Face different decks

    Test a list against varied strategies, accounting for Weakness and the pace of each deck.

  5. Adapt to the draw

    Find sound decisions across different opening hands and draws.

  6. Respond when plans change

    Reconsider priorities when a key card is missing or a game takes an unexpected turn.
