Its Ability

Electric Barrier

Prevent all damage done to your Benched Pokémon (excluding any Manectric) by attacks.

Its attacks

Power Wave

This attack does 30 damage to each Pokémon that has any Poké-Powers (both yours and your opponent's). (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)

Attract Current

40

Search your deck for a Lightning Energy card and attach it to 1 of your Pokémon. Shuffle your deck afterward.

What to make of it

Have a look at what it does well, then at what will get in your way. After that you'll know whether it belongs in your deck.

  1. A strength

It retreats for free. You can pull it back to the Bench whenever you like, even with no Energy on it at all.

  2. A strength

It has an Ability, Electric Barrier. An Ability costs you no attack, so you can use it and still swing the same turn.

  3. Keep in mind

None of the 5,927 tournament lists we have read runs it. That does not make it a bad card — it means we have not seen it on a table yet.

  4. Keep in mind

Weakness Fighting +20. Against a Fighting Pokémon, apply that to the damage it takes — it climbs fast. Of the 5,927 tournament lists we have read, 1,354 run at least one Pokémon of that type.

Who plays it

None of the tournament lists we have read mentions this card. That happens with a card that has just come out, or one players have not tried yet.

The other cards of this Pokémon

Two cards of the same Pokémon can be worth wildly different amounts — it depends on the set, the rarity and the artwork. We put all 38 Manectric cards on one page, priciest first.
