Its Ability

Psylink

Sabrina's Alakazam always has a copy of every attack your Psychic Pokémon in play have (including their Energy costs and anything else required in order to use those attacks, such as discarding Energy cards). This power can't be used if Sabrina's Alakazam is Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed.

Its attacks

Mega Burn

60

You can't use this attack during your next turn.

What to make of it

Have a look at what it does well, then at what will get in your way. After that you'll know whether it belongs in your deck.

WHAT IT HAS GOING FOR IT

  • It has an Ability, Psylink. An Ability costs you no attack, so you can use it and still swing the same turn.

WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR

  • Retreat cost 3. Once it is out front, it stays there. Pack something that moves it another way, or you will burn whole turns discarding Energy.
  • None of the 3,299 tournament lists we have read runs it. That does not make it a bad card — it means we have not seen it on a table yet.
  • It is a Stage 2. You have to come through Kadabra to get here, or find a Rare Candy to skip the middle step.
  • Weakness Psychic ×2. Against a Psychic Pokémon, apply that to the damage it takes — it climbs fast. Of the 3,299 tournament lists we have read, 1,909 run at least one Pokémon of that type.

Who plays it

None of the tournament lists we have read mentions this card. That happens with a card that has just come out, or one players have not tried yet.

The other cards of this Pokémon

Two cards of the same Pokémon can be worth wildly different amounts — it depends on the set, the rarity and the artwork. We put all 31 Alakazam cards on one page, priciest first.
