What to make of it
Have a look at what it does well, then at what will get in your way. After that you'll know whether it belongs in your deck.
WHAT IT HAS GOING FOR IT
- Retreat cost 1. One Energy to discard and it is back on the Bench, which matters a lot on the turn you need to swap attackers.
- Elemental Blast hits for 200 on 3 Energy. Nothing in Unseen Forces hits harder for that price.
- It has an Ability, Silver Sparkle. An Ability costs you no attack, so you can use it and still swing the same turn.
WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR
- None of the 3,299 tournament lists we have read runs it. That does not make it a bad card — it means we have not seen it on a table yet.
- It is an ex card. The turn it goes down your opponent takes 2 Prizes instead of one, and games do turn on exactly that.
- Weakness Psychic ×2. Against a Psychic Pokémon, apply that to the damage it takes — it climbs fast. Of the 3,299 tournament lists we have read, 1,909 run at least one Pokémon of that type.
Who plays it
None of the tournament lists we have read mentions this card. That happens with a card that has just come out, or one players have not tried yet.
The other cards of this Pokémon
Two cards of the same Pokémon can be worth wildly different amounts — it depends on the set, the rarity and the artwork. We put all 38 Lugia cards on one page, priciest first.
