WHAT IT HAS GOING FOR IT
- Retreat cost 1. One Energy to discard and it is back on the Bench, which matters a lot on the turn you need to swap attackers.
- It has an Ability, Pyro Dance. An Ability costs you no attack, so you can use it and still swing the same turn.
- Alakazam runs it in 1 of the 25 lists we have read, seen across 1 different tournaments.
WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR
- It is a Stage 2. You have to come through Monferno to get here, or find a Rare Candy to skip the middle step.
- Weakness Water ×2. Against a Water Pokémon, apply that to the damage it takes — it climbs fast. Of the 3,150 tournament lists we have read, 1,281 run at least one Pokémon of that type.
- Mark H, and that is the letter the next rotation takes away. After that you will not be able to play it in Standard.
