White Kyurem-EX has appeared in several sets: Legendary Treasures (LTR 101), Boundaries Crossed (BCR 103) and BW Black Star Promos (BWP BW63). It is the same card every time — it plays the same, only the artwork and the price change. Here is what it does once it is on the table.

What to make of it

Have a look at what it does well, then at what will get in your way. After that you'll know whether it belongs in your deck.

  1. A strength

180 HP, and nothing in Legendary Treasures goes higher. That is the wall your opponent has to break through before taking a Prize.

  2. A strength

Ice Burn hits for 150 on 4 Energy. Nothing in Legendary Treasures hits harder for that price.

  3. Keep in mind

Retreat cost 3. Once it is out front, it stays there. Pack something that moves it another way, or you will burn whole turns discarding Energy.

  4. Keep in mind

None of the 6,656 tournament lists we have read runs it. That does not make it a bad card — it means we have not seen it on a table yet.

  5. Keep in mind

It is an ex card. The turn it goes down your opponent takes 2 Prizes instead of one, and games do turn on exactly that.

  6. Keep in mind

Weakness Dragon ×2. Against a Dragon Pokémon, apply that to the damage it takes — it climbs fast. Of the 6,656 tournament lists we have read, 1,339 run at least one Pokémon of that type.

Who plays it

None of the tournament lists we have read mentions this card. That happens with a card that has just come out, or one players have not tried yet.

The other cards of this Pokémon

Two cards of the same Pokémon can be worth wildly different amounts — it depends on the set, the rarity and the artwork. We put all 50 Kyurem cards on one page, priciest first.
