What to make of it

Have a look at what it does well, then at what will get in your way. After that you'll know whether it belongs in your deck.

A strength
It has an Ability, Magnetic Absorption. An Ability costs you no attack, so you can use it and still swing the same turn.
A strength
It is a Basic Pokémon. You can put it down on your very first turn, with nothing to evolve through.
Keep in mind
None of the 8,062 tournament lists we have read runs it. That does not make it a bad card — it means we have not seen it on a table yet.
Keep in mind
It is an ex card. The turn it goes down your opponent takes 2 Prizes instead of one, and games do turn on exactly that.
Keep in mind
Weakness Grass ×2. Against a Grass Pokémon, apply that to the damage it takes — it climbs fast. Of the 8,062 tournament lists we have read, 5,064 run at least one Pokémon of that type.
Keep in mind
Mark G. It is not among the marks currently accepted in Standard: H, I, and J. A legal reprint may still provide an exception.
