Its Ability

Magnetic CallAppel magnétique

Once during your turn (before your attack), you may flip a coin. If heads, search your deck for a Metal Basic Pokémon and put it onto your Bench. Shuffle your deck afterward. This power can't be used if Beldum is affected by a Special Condition.

What to make of it

Have a look at what it does well, then at what will get in your way. After that you'll know whether it belongs in your deck.

A strength
Metal Charge hits for 30 on 2 Energy. Nothing in Nintendo Black Star Promos hits harder for that price.
A strength
It has an Ability, Magnetic Call. An Ability costs you no attack, so you can use it and still swing the same turn.
A strength
It is a Basic Pokémon. You can put it down on your very first turn, with nothing to evolve through.
Keep in mind
None of the 7,530 tournament lists we have read runs it. That does not make it a bad card — it means we have not seen it on a table yet.
Keep in mind
Weakness Fire ×2. Against a Fire Pokémon, apply that to the damage it takes — it climbs fast. Of the 7,530 tournament lists we have read, 1,757 run at least one Pokémon of that type.
