WHAT IT HAS GOING FOR IT
- 330 HP, and nothing in Paldean Fates goes higher. That is the wall your opponent has to break through before taking a Prize.
- It has an Ability, Infernal Reign. An Ability costs you no attack, so you can use it and still swing the same turn.
WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR
- None of the 3,271 tournament lists we have read runs it. That does not make it a bad card — it means we have not seen it on a table yet.
- It is an ex card. The turn it goes down your opponent takes 2 Prizes instead of one, and games do turn on exactly that.
- It is a Stage 2. You have to come through Charmeleon to get here, or find a Rare Candy to skip the middle step.
- Weakness Grass ×2. Against a Grass Pokémon, apply that to the damage it takes — it climbs fast. Of the 3,271 tournament lists we have read, 2,006 run at least one Pokémon of that type.
- Mark G, and that letter has already left the format. You can still play it at home, or keep it in your binder. In a Standard tournament, no: the letters allowed today are H, I, and J.
